Gudrun Burwitz, daughter of Heinrich Himmler, helped Nazi concentration camp officers escape justice
She was said to have created a “golden image” of her father and insisted he was murdered, rather than taking his own life while in British custody in 1945.
Burwitz was also said to be involved in neo-Nazi groups and her husband Wulf was an official in the far-right National Democratic Party of Germany.
She and her mum were arrested by the US after the war and testified at the Nuremberg trials. They were freed in 1946.
