Gillispie Charles

Charles Coulston Gillispie (né le 6 août 1918, et mort le 6 octobre 2015 à Princeton (New Jersey) est un historien des sciences américain, professeur émérite à l'université de Princeton.

Il obtient son PhD de l'université d'Harvard en 1949, et fonde le département d'histoire des sciences à Princeton au début des années 1960. Son domaine principal de recherche a été l'histoire de la science en France à la fin du XVIIIe siècle et sous l'Empire.
