Reisner Charles

Charles Reisner est un réalisateur, acteur, scénariste et producteur américain né le 14 mars 1887 à Minneapolis, Minnesota (États-Unis), mort le 24 septembre 1962 à La Jolla (Californie). Il est parfois crédité Charles F. Riesner dans certains films. 

Réalisateur

Charles Reisner germano-américain a réalisé plus de 60 films entre 1920 et 1950 et a joué dans plus de 20 films entre 1916 et 1929. Il a joué avec Charlie Chaplin dans A Dog's Life en 1918 et The Kid en 1921. Il dirigea Buster Keaton (Keaton l'a également co-dirigé avec lui) dans Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928). À la fin des années 1920 et jusqu'aux années 1940, Reisner était sous contrat avec Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. En 1930, il réalise Chasing Rainbows, une comédie musicale mettant en vedette Bessie Love et Charles King. Il réalise The Big Store (1941), le dernier film des Marx Brothers pour la MGM.

Décès

Reisner est décédé d'une crise cardiaque à La Jolla, en Californie, en 1962, à l'âge de 75 ans.
