Director of Plans, Admiralty 1959-1960; Flag Officer, Flotillas (Mediterranean) 1961-1962; Commander, British Naval Staff and Naval Attache, Washington DC, USA 1963-1965; Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Ministry of Defence 1965-1967; Commander-in-Chief Western Fleet, Eastern Atlantic and Channel (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO)) 1967-1970; retired 1970.
