Germans Seize Jewish Possessions in Warsaw
3rd November, 1939 German troops have continued their ill-treatment of Polish Jews. The occupying Nazi troops are reported to be systematically going from house to house in an organised attempt to remove Jewish citizens of all their valuables.
Since the invasion, German troops have been treating the Polish Jews with varying degrees of harshness. But now, with the full support of the German government, troops are seizing furniture, valuable possessions, clothing and other belongings. Reports indicate the Jewish residents are being forced to carry their possessions out to the waiting German vehicles.
The bad treatment of the Jews has been made worse by Poles of German descent, called ‘Volksdeutsche’. German troops are evicting wealthy Jews from their homes to allow the Volksdeutsche to move in.
