Jefferson Thomas

Thomas Lockyer Jefferson (10 septembre 1856 – 2 avril 1932) était un acteur américain de cinéma et de théâtre, ayant principalement joué dans des films muets.

Famille

Il était le fils de Margaret Clements Lockyer (décédée en 1861) et de l'acteur Joseph Jefferson. Le Burns Mantle Yearbook indique qu'il était le sixième d'une lignée de Jefferson célèbres.

Acteur

Il a tenu des rôles principaux dans plusieurs films, dont *The Grim Game* (1919) avec Harry Houdini. Il a également incarné le personnage principal de *Rip Van Winkle* dans deux adaptations cinématographiques, un rôle que son père avait interprété au théâtre. Il a effectué une tournée aux États-Unis avec la pièce *Lightnin'*. Il est connu pour Tarzan chez les singes (1918), The Missing Links (1916) et Rip Van Winkle (1914).

Vie privée

Il était marié à Daisy Jefferson. Il avait trois filles d'un précédent mariage avec Eugenia Paul.

Décès

Il est mort le 2 avril 1932 en Californie, États-Unis.
